Agricultural e-commerce is on the rise in Pu'er's Ximeng county in Yunnan province. The county is regarded to be the most ecological one in the country.

Ximeng Va autonomous county is one of China's most important ecological areas. It is located on the banks of Mengsuo Longtan Lake. By 2009, the forest coverage rate of Ximeng county had reached 58 percent. Thanks to its natural environment, Ximeng is home to an abundance of agriculture products.

In recent years, Ximeng county has started selling its local agriculture products via e-commerce channels to help farmers increase their income level.

A dedicated e-commerce platform has been constructed with the aim of promoting Ximeng's agriculture e-commerce. According to the local government, the platform was constructed by Yunnan Ximeng Ecommerce Company and aims to integrate Yunnan's agriculture sources with a wider consumer market.
