Yunnan expatriates gather in Pu'er

Around 400 Chinese expatriates living in 19 countries gathered at the 8th Yunnan Fellowship in the city of Pu'er, Yunnan province, on July 8 and 9.

Activities were arranged at the gathering to promote the city's tourism products and attract more investment. Also held were a series of forums, cultural performances, lectures on Pu'er tea and a youth culture symposium.

Many people from Pu'er work as Chinese expatriates abroad. Pu'er locals now live in around 29 countries throughout the world, predominantly in Southeast Asia.

Events: Ancient tea gardens apply for cultural heritage
Local people have been treating tea as a natural treasure and taking efforts to promote tea culture.
