Cauliflower mushroom

Cauliflower mushroom, also known as Sparassis, is a rare species native to Yunnan. It grows among pine forests in the western and central parts of the province during the rainy season (June and July).

Porcini

Porcini, also known as boletus edulis, comes in the form of three colors: White, yellow and black. The mushroom grows in forest areas at an altitude of 900 to 2,200 meters above sea level.

Pine mushroom

Pine mushrooms (Matsutake) is revered for its medicinal properties and health benefits. Often used in, or as medicine, the mushroom is an endangered plant in China.

Bamboo fungus

As its name suggests, bamboo fungi grows by the roots of bamboo plants. Its shape is similar to that of a net umbrella, owing to its nickname, “snow-skirt fairy” and “fungus queen”.

Green brittle gill

Russula virescens is more commonly known as the quilted green Russula, or the green brittle gill. It has a distinctive pale green cap which is about 15 cm in diameter and is covered in dark green polygon-shaped patches.

Termite mushroom

Termite mushroom only grows in the red earth of the southwestern and southeastern parts of China. It is usually found springing out of the top of termite hills during the rainy season from July to September.

Golden chanterelle

Cantharellus cibarius is commonly known as the chanterelle, golden chanterelle or girolle. It is commonly found growing in the forests of the North Temperate Zone.

Sponge morel

Sponge morel is one of the readily recognized edible mushrooms. Each fruit body begins as a tightly compressed, grayish sponge with lighter ridges, and expands to form a large yellowish sponge with large pits and ridges raised on a large white stem.

Black truffle

The Black Truffle is a rare kind fungus that grows in the southern part of the Alps and the southeastern part of the Himalayas.
