The awards presenting ceremony of the “Innovative Yunnan” Makers Competition was held on March 11, ynci.cn reported.

Zhai Life, a delivery company focusing on fresh food, and Cloud Cloth, a company focusing on cloth with Yunnan ethnic characteristics, won the second and third prizes.

Apart from honors, the top three winners got bonuses of around 10,000 yuan. Kunming National Advertisement Industrial Park also gave free rent to the winners.

“Younger Brothers”, an app serving migrant workers, won the most creative award and “Have a bite”, an online cake provider, won a prize for its investment value.

These two winning groups each won 5,000 yuan as bonuses. They will also enjoy free rent for their workplaces.

Sponsored by the Yunnan Industrial and Business Administration Bureau, the competition was intended to promote incubation of cultural and creative products in Yunnan.

The competition was launched at the China-SouthAsia Expo on June 13. It called for innovative programs from around the world through online-advertisements, offline road shows and national makers spaces.

The contest received over 450 business plans, of which 150 came from social organizations and 300 from university innovation groups.

The judging panels were composed of investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders. They both raised questions and gave suggestions to contestants on their projects.
