The first cliff painting symposium in Yunnan province was recently held in Gengma, co-organized by Yunnan Chinese Civilization Research Society, Archaeological Research Center of Yunnan University, and the local government. More than 50 experts and scholars from Yunnan University and other organizations attended the seminar.

During the symposium, experts and scholars reviewed cliff paintings and discoveries in China and around the world. They also carried out a detailed analysis on the discoveries.

Experts called on the archaeologists to pay more attention to Yunnan cliff painting research and protection.
