The anti-drug film, Phoenix Flower in Full Bloom, began production in An'ning city, in Southwest China's Yunnan Province. This noncommercial film is due to hit on screen on the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26.

The film is based on a true story that unfolded in Yulu Community at a drugs rehab center in Kaiyuan city, near the Southeast Asia's Golden Triangle-a notorious area for drug trafficking.

The Yulu Community program has gained a national reputation for its new and successful model of drug addition rehabilitation.

This heartwarming film sings high praises to the anti-drug police officers on the frontline, according to director Wu Tiange. The film's heroine originates from Song Lina, the first director of the Yulu Community. Song and her colleagues have paved the way for new and successful drug rehab treatment in China.
