Intangible cultural heritage protection law takes effect

The Yunnan government started implementing a law of intangible cultural heritages on June 1 to protect its intangible cultural heritages. The law will promote the standardization and legalization process in safeguarding the local cultural relics.
It is known that the law consists of 46 items in 7 chapters, including general rules, protection catalogues, inherit and transmission, regional protection, safeguard measure and legal responsibilities.
