This is the first time Wusu beer has been exported to Kazakhstan since 2015.

According to Du Hui, general manager of Xinjiang Wusu Beer Co Ltd, the company currently has sales outlets in 24 cities around the country.

Thanks to the Belt and Road Initiative, renminbi can now be directly converted into foreign currency, bringing room for profit in the export trade. This is why Wusu beer has entered Kazakhstan's market again after three years.

"Wusu beer was exported to Kazakhstan in 2015, and local consumers have become fond of its taste and flavor. This time we will mainly put the products into Kazakhstan's market. In the future we will promote this local beer of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region to other countries in Middle Asia," said a representative of a Kazakhstan beer merchant.

Kazakhstan's beer market has great potential because the local manufacturing technique of beer is relatively backward and there is a shortage of materials like barley for brewing.

The export is recognition of the quality of Wusu beer and will promote development of its industry. It brings more opportunities to local enterprises that seek to go abroad.

Du Hui said the company will not only expand its market in Middle Asian countries but also attach greater importance to online sales in domestic market. In addition, it will put more effort into branding.
