Industrial chains accelerate economy in Tai'an city's Daiyue district

Daiyue district in Tai'an, East China's Shandong province has ramped up efforts to promote industrial upgrading via technological transformation in recent years, and great results have been achieved during the process of new industrial construction.

According to official data, 65 new projects each with an investment valued at more than 5 million yuan ($78.70 thousand) started construction by the end of Nov 2021. The industrial technological transformation investment increased by 38.4 percent year-on-year.

Twenty-six projects were listed as Shandong technological innovation projects.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Tai'an Hangneng Environmental Protection Equipment Manufacturing Project was hosted in Dawenkou Industrial Park, Daiyue district, Tai'an on Jan 10. It is the first new industrial project in Tai'an that has started construction in 2022. The project's investment is valued at 1.2 billion yuan. Its annual sales revenue is expected to reach 2 billion yuan when it is put into operation, according to the project manager.

From Jan to Nov 2021, the added value of large-scale industries in Daiyue district increased 9 percent year on year. Industrial enterprises above designated size achieved a profit of 3.56 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 82.7 percent, ranking the first in Tai'an city. The four pillar industries consisting of new materials, new building materials, high-end equipment, and high-end chemicals have a total output value of 21.42 billion yuan, accounting for 80 percent of the total.
