Tai'an spends 110 million yuan attracting talent in H1

Tai'an, East China's Shandong province spent 110 million yuan ($16.38 million) of funds in attracting talent in the first half of this year, local media reported.

The expenditure is mainly used to support the entrepreneurship projects in the field of replacing old growth drivers with new ones and help promote the implementation of talent projects.

Tai'an government paid much attention to improving salary packages of talent. The standard of rent and living allowance for the newly-introduced undergraduate graduates, graduate students of master's degree and graduate students of doctor's degree have increased.

Local government also will reward the newly-built national and provincial innovation and entrepreneurship platforms with a standard of 1 million yuan and 500,000 yuan respectively.

The city will also help build a number of key laboratories at or above the provincial level, engineering laboratories, enterprise technology centers, technology innovation centers as well as high-level new research and development institutions to offer a good R&D environment.
