Guests from World Senior Tourism Congress visit Mount Tai

A group of more than 30 guests attending the second World Senior Tourism Congress visited the majestic Mount Tai on May 29 in Tai'an, Shandong province, gaining in-depth knowledge about the city's culture and tourism resources.

The visitors came from Spain, Colombia, Senegal, Guinea, and other countries. They were members of domestic and international associations, as well as universities for the aged, including the European Federation of Older Students, the International Association of the University for the Aged, and the China Association of Universities for the Aged.

The visitors all marveled at the historical and cultural significance of Mount Tai after listening to the tour guide's introduction.

A visitor from Thailand said that it was his first visit to Tai'an and Mount Tai. He was impressed with the city's pleasant environment and the exemplary integration of natural beauty and historical cultural heritages on Mount Tai.

"I have recorded the beautiful landscapes of Tai'an and Mount Tai through micro videos and paintings. I will help to promote the beautiful city of Tai'an after I return to Thailand. I hope that more people will come to the city and enjoy the unique charm of Mount Tai," he said.

Through the visit, Tai'an has conducted in-depth exchanges with the international associations and universities for the aged, as well as foreign travel agencies to explore cooperation to further expand the city's presence in the international senior tourism market.

The second World Senior Congress was held in Yantai, Shandong province from May 24 to 31, drawing more than 1,200 guests from 46 countries and regions.

Based on the tourism industry, the congress has provided a strong platform support to the development of aging-related industries.
