The Mount Tai Scenic Area has been placed in the leading position of the city's tourism industry by the Tai'an municipal government. The scenic area has made itself into a world-class cultural tourism destination by fully utilizing local cultural legacies and building a batch of culture tourism products such as coming-of-age ceremony on Mount Tai, performance of Fengshan Sacrifice rite (a type of religious ritual that was conducted by ancient Chinese emperors on Mount Tai) and the annual large scale Mount Tai climbing festival.

Founded in 1986, the Taian Bank is set to serve the development of the local economy.
