Tai'an in East China's Shandong province announced on Nov 2 that it will solicit a slogan representing the city's well-known tourist attraction – Mount Tai Scenic Area from across the globe.

Lasting through Nov 30, the event is designed to boost Mount Tai's international profile as a World Natural and Cultural Heritage, carry forward the spirit and culture of Mount Tai, and help tell Mount Tai's story as well as spread Mount Tai's voice.

According to the Mount Tai Scenic Area Management Committee, the Chinese slogan collection requires a clear theme with a succinct and catchy style, presenting Mount Tai's tourism image as well as its historical and cultural connotation. All entries should be original with independent intellectual property rights.

According to the competition rules, any individual or organization in or outside China can take part in the collection. The submission period is from Nov 3 to 30. Participants can submit their slogan proposals to the official email address (taishan271000@126.com).

The organizer will announce the results of the competition on its official website late December. The slogan winner will be rewarded 100,000 yuan ($15,107). The second runner-ups and third place winners will also be offered cash and other prizes.
