Hu Shaoxian, a deputy to the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the chief partner of an accounting firm, attended a press conference on judicial support for the digital economy held by the Intermediate People's Court of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, and afterwards visited the court’s litigation service center.

At the press conference, the court issued a guideline on providing strong legal support for the development of the city’s digital economy, which stresses that such support should be given to both digital industrialization and industrial digitalization. It also released 10 cases which cover various aspects of the digital economy.

Hu gave a high appraisal of the guideline, saying that Hangzhou is now vigorously developing its digital economy and trying to solidify China’s No 1 digital economy, which require both technical and legal support. With the world’s first internet court and a dedicated intellectual property court which has tried any number of cases on the digital economy, courts across Hangzhou have the ability and responsibility to take the lead in that area.

Hu pointed out that the courts across Hangzhou must fully implemented the guideline so as to provide the country with more experience and know-how on providing judicial support for the digital economy.
