Qingyuan opened a new tourist service center and park to attract more travelers to the historic Guangdong province city.

A ceremony for the opening of Zhu Ruzhen Park and the establishment of the Qingyuan Tourist Service Center was held on Feb 28. Zhu Yaohuang, the grandson of Zhu Ruzhen, for whom the park was named, attended the event.

Qingyuan Tourist Service Center is located near Guangzhou-Qingyuan Expressway. The center features an array of services including travel agency services, tourist services, hotel and car rental services, and highway transfer station help. The center also offers local products, special cuisine and theme park information. Officials said the center will act as a portal and also a tourism landmark for Qingyuan.

To create "the first station for touring Qingyuan", Yujin Street at the Tourist Service Center will include sightseeing, amusement park, entertainment, dining, shopping and other amenities. The street and center will showcase the millennium-old culture of Tang Dynasty and also modern attractions. Tang Dynasty-styled shops, park zones and brand-name boutiques on Yujin Street are designed to welcome tourists from around the world.
