Mayor of Davos, Indian Ambassador look for cooperation with Dalian

Xia Deren, Party Secretary of the CPC Dalian Municipal Committee, met with the mayor of Davos, Switzerland, Michele Hans Pitt and India’s ambassador to China, Dr. S. Jaishankar, who visited Dalian on Thursday for business opportunitites.

Pitt said that although Dalian is much larger than Davos, the two cities have much in common.

Jaishankar, the Indian ambassador, brought a group of Indian businessmen to Dalian for a series of business and trade symposium. Xia delivered a keynote speech.

"Dalian is an important city in promoting friendly cooperation between China and India, especially in the aspect of software and IT industry. We welcome more Indian high-tech enterprises to invest in Dalian," said Xia.

Jaishankar acknowledged Dalian has gained popularity among many Indian companies and promised to promote more cooperation in IT, modern manufacturing, environmental protection, and infrastructure.
