International Rice Cultural and Tourism Festival opens

The fourth Rice Cultural and Tourism Festival will be held on Nov 11-13 in Wannian county, Jiangxi province with the theme,"Developing Rice Culture All over the World", said an official from the press conference on Sep 23.

The festival will organize activities, including a symposium on sustainable development of rice and rice promotion fair. As the cradle of rice culture, it has been the fourth time to hold the festival since 2004.

Rice in Wannian county is famous for its whiteness and sweetness. It is the leading enterprise for local agriculture and awarded the "China Well-known Trademark".
