Jiangxi tourist attractions obtain investment from central government

Jiangxi has allocated a 2012 state budgetary investment of 50 million yuan ($7.87 million) for infrastructure construction of Jiangxi's seven major tourist attractions, according to information released by Jiangxi Development and Reform Commission on July 4.

As much as 20 million yuan of the total investment will be used for the Wugong Mountain scenic area in Pingxiang, the Mingyue Mountain hot spring scenic area in Yichun, and Poyang Lake wetland park in Shangrao. With total investment reaching 71.08 million yuan, the project will boost the province's tourism development through improving infrastructures at major tourist attractions.

The remaining 30 million yuan of state investment will be put into the infrastructure construction of red tourism sites such as the Autumn Harvest Uprising Memorial in Jiujiang, Leping red tourism scenic spots in Jingdezhen, the anti-encirclement and suppression war memorial in Ganzhou and the old sites of Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi revolutionary base areas in Shangrao. A total of 73.71 million yuan will be used in the project to promote the development of red tourism in Jiangxi.
