The 2012 Jiangxi (Hong Kong) Tourism Promotion Meeting was recently held in Hong Kong.

"The source of the Dongjiang water is in Jiangxi. This is definitely a good selling point for the Hong Kong people and I believe that more Hong Kong people will travel to Jiangxi after this large-scale promotion."

The 2012 Jiangxi (Hong Kong) Tourism Promotion Meeting was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on June 11, 2012. A total of 14 key tourism cooperation projects will be conducted in Jiangxi with a signed contract of 32.7 billion yuan and $120 million.

"The Baofeng Temple in Xinfeng is a famous temple with a long history. After two years of study, we have decided to build a large tourist complex in Xinfeng, including a 5A class scenic area and a number of supporting facilities," said Yao Baohua, the president of Buddhist Garden International company. This project alone will cover a total area of 32.8 square kilometers, costing an investment of 10.5 billion yuan.

To further enhance Jiangxi tourism's recognition and influence in Hong Kong, Jiangxi province has also put out tourism image advertisements on subways, buses and bus shelters this year. At the entrance to the submarine tunnel in Kowloon, there is a bus with Jiangxi's scenery passing by every five minutes.

Through this large-scale promotion, people in the tourism industry from Jiangxi and Hong Kong collaborated. They exchanged information on travel routes, tourism products and potential customers. The promotion event built a friendly platform for exchange and aroused great enthusiasm of businessmen in Hong Kong to invest in Jiangxi. It is expected that the visitors from Hong Kong to Jiangxi will grow by at least 20 percent this year.
