Li Lu, an athlete from Dengzhou, Nanyang, has won three gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 400m races of the third Asian Paralympic Games, which were held in Indonesia's capital of Jakarta from Oct 6 to 13.
Li's left forearm was amputated after she accidentally touched a transformer at the age of four. A gifted athlete, she won her first gold medal in the 100m race at the first Nanyang Paralympic Games when she was just 15. She later took part in the Asian Youth Paralympic Games, the Ninth National Paralympic Games and the 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Li Lu is a top Henan athlete and one of the competitors who garnered the most gold medals for the Chinese team at this year's games.
She is currently in training for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.
