Nanyang persists for National Civilized City title

National Civilized City, an honorary title which requires the evaluation of such indices as economic and social development, is the most authoritative, comprehensive and influential name card for a city.

In a bid to meet the national standard of a civilized city, Nanyang in Henan province has implemented a wide range of processes to improve the city.

Nanyang has introduced various operations, with a focus on improving government efficiency, deepening integrity, fostering civilized quality, optimizing civilized services, beautifying urban and rural environments, sharing quality life and popularizing civilization building.

In addition, the local government held promotional meetings to mobilize local residents into a full and concerted effort to build Nanyang a more civilized city.

Nanyang has seen great changes, and was selected as the most livable city in Henan earlier this year.

Not slacking off from its higher goal as a national civilized city, Nanyang continues to give persistent boosts to the building of a livable city with wider reputation, higher civilization and a better living environment.

Winning the national honor is expected soon, as a governmental official put it.
