Shining a light on Central China culture

When the 3rd Central China Cultural Exhibition came to a close on Oct 16, Neixiang county in Nanyang, Henan province, has got a lot of attention from visitors for its rich yamen architecture culture, cultural relics, handcrafts and various other products presented at the exhibition.

Even at the opening ceremony of the five-day exhibition, the Nanyang section put on a performance of Neixiang Wanbang Opera, which dates back more than 300 years, that stunned the audiences with its spectacular rhymes and melody.

There was also an exhibit from the local Neixiang Magistrate's Office Museum that showed the traditional culture through architecture, special foods, and videos that impressed audiences with its history and culture. Staff from the museum handed out more than 2,000 brochures to show what a visitor-attractive place Neixiang is.
