Breathtaking flower show opens for the first time in Nanyang

The first flower expo at Zhenping county's Lizhai Urban Agriculture Ecological Garden opened on March 30, with hundreds of thousands of blossoming species of plants on show for those in and around Nanyang, Henan province.

The sheer scale of the flower expo is breathtaking. On display are 300,000 tulips, 1,000 cherry blossom trees, 1,000 Chinese flowering crabapples, and 100,000 Japanese shibazakura. In the southern part of the garden, more than 100 categories of trees including camphor, mulberry, elm and loquat are also on show.

The garden's total area is 1,360 mu (90.67 hectares), having had individual investments exceeding 70 million yuan ($10.81 million).
