(chinadaily.com.cn) Updated: 2015-08-19

Henan province's Nanyang Municipal Museum and local firehouse branch carried out a routine firefighting emergency drill at the Temple of Marquis, a national key cultural relic protection site and a national 4A tourist attraction, on Aug 14.

The firefighters first conducted a comprehensive and detailed safety check on the fire protection installations in the scenic spot. They then performed an emergency drill in some key sites such as the historic buildings, antique storeroom and surrounding landscape.

The Nanyang Municipal Museum is a tourist attraction encompassing a museum, a Temple of Marquis and a park. The fire-fighting emergency drill was carried out in order to enhance the defense capacities of the scenic spot and to improve the fire safety emergency readiness and self-protection ability by the museum staff.
