Gannan Tibetan autonomous prefecture promotes e-commerce

Gannan Tibetan autonomous prefecture in Gansu province recently sent a delegation to visit Guangyuan city in Sichuan province to learn about e-commerce, Gannan Daily reported.

The Gannan delegation was shown around Guangyuan's e-commerce logistic park, an entrepreneurship park, shopping malls and local enterprises to get to know the operation and profit model.

At a symposium, Wen Hui, vice-governor of Gannan, said that Guangyuan city has made great achievements in developing e-commerce from which Gannan can learn a lot.

Wen added that Gannan expects to promote a rural e-commerce and logistics service system through the experience learned from Guangyuan. Gannan could use the advantages of e-commerce in industries such as stock farming to upgrade traditional business.

The Gannan Tibetan autonomous prefecture is one of 10 Tibetan autonomous prefectures in China. It's located on the northeast edge of the Qing-Tibetan Plateau, 1,100 to 4,900 meters above sea level. The 395,900 ethnic Tibetan people account for 54.2 percent of the population.

Competitive industries:The good ecological environment of the Gannan Tibetan autonomous prefecture provides the region with beautiful natural landscapes, rich national characteristics and special folk customs. There are 14 national-level scenic spots in the autonomous prefecture, which receive 2.44 million domestic and international tourists each year.
