The 21st Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair was launched in Gansu province on July 6 and will last until July 11.

This year's fair is themed on promoting cooperation among the countries and regions along the Silk Road - an ancient trade route stretching from China through Central Asia and on to Europe.

A series of forums and promotional activities featuring Silk Road aspects were held during the fair, including a Silk Road Cooperation and Development Forum.
