The construction of Queen Mother's Palace Tianchi Ski Resort, which is in Jingchuan County, Gansu province, is expected to complete on Dec 20th, according to Jingchuan County's tourism department. The ski resort will open to people freely on Dec 24-25, for the celebration of Christmas and Queen Mother's Palace Tianchi Ski Resort will also hold a ski tourism festival on New Year’s Day 2015.

The Queen Mother's Palace Tianchi Ski Resort, covering 110,000 square metres of land, is working on becoming the largest ski resort in Gansu and surrounding provinces, with its longest slope about 500m.

The Queen Mother's Palace Tianchi Ski Resort is invested by Jingchuan County's Creative Agriculture Co. and will be open the whole year so that even summer visitors can enjoy the scenery. The ski resort locates at Tianchi village, which is 5 km away from Jingchuan County. People living in Gansu’s Pingliang city and Qingyang city can drive 1-2 hours to get to the resort. The ski resort provides great opportunities for the people of Gansu and surrounding provinces to enjoy skiing without going too far.
