Macao and Hong Kong delegation visits Gansu

 The Secretary of the Gansu provincial Party Committee, Wang Sanyun met with a delegation from Macao and Hong Kong, including Members of the CPPCC Macao and Hong Kong Committee, some entrepreneurs, and the vice-chairman of the CPPCC Fujian Committee, Zhang Xiefei, on the afternoon of Aug 6 in Lanzhou.

Wang welcomed the delegation, and expressed the view that as Gansu sits astride the Silk Road it is a perfect place for Macao and Hong Kong enterprises to seek cooperation; and as the priority province in western development, Gansu has a broad market to explore.

He also described Gansu’s great progress in building a better society, especially in poverty alleviation and city construction.

Wang said he expected that more Macao and Hong Kong enterprises would invest in Gansu to develop Gansu’s economy.

During the meeting, Yu Peidi, the chairman of the Great Town Corporation and many other entrepreneurs also addressed the meeting and all expressed an interest of cooperating with Gansu.

The members of the delegation were looking forward to forming collaborations in various fields. And they agreed that with the favorable geographic position and many other advantages, Gansu would make more achievements in developing its local economy with the support of Macao and Hong Kong enterprises.
