An Iran–China Gansu Project Promotion and Goods Exhibition will be held in Iran, according to the Gansu Provincial Department of Commerce, Gansu Economic Daily reported on Feb 28.

The promotion has attracted around 50 enterprises to participate, among which some 40 are small and medium-sized foreign trade companies, focusing on exhibiting and selling their products.

Organizers of the promotion also invited some large enterprises, including Jiuquan Iron and Steel (Group) Co Ltd, Jinchuan Group Co Ltd and Baiyin Nonferrous Group Co Ltd, which are all looking for collaboration partners in iron ore, lead zinc ore and crude oil imports.

Under the requirements of the Gansu Provincial People’s Government on construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt, Gansu section, the promotion aims to conduct an opening-to-the-West of a development strategy, and broaden economic and trade ties with Iran.

The event will be composed of high-level reciprocal visits, a Sino-Iran trade and economic cooperation forum, a Sino-Iran project promotion and a signing ceremony for collaboration projects.
