Xu Weize, director of Pingtan administrative committee, met with Cheng Ping, CEO of Taiwan's Delta Electronics, on April 11, to talk about mutual cooperation.

Founded in 1971, Delta Electronics has taken a predominant market share in switching power supplies and direct current fans across the world. The company is also engaged in solutions for power management, industrial automation, telecommunication and renewable energy products. It established its South China headquarters in Pingtan on Nov 28, 2014.

Xu said that Delta's regional headquarters contributes to Pingtan's economic growth. He assured that the zone will continue to give full support to promote the company's development, which is win-win for both sides.

Xu expected Delta will promote green architecture in the zone and provide solutions of industrial animation and power management for local high-tech parks. This hope is because of Pingtan's plan to become a low-carbon and smart city, which is in line with Delta's focus on energy conservation and emission reduction, as well as the construction of smart city.

Cheng Ping expressed gratitude to local government's support and said that Pingtan is of great importance to Delta's national expansion. Cheng also vowed to strengthen the company's cooperation with Pingtan and help turn the zone into a smart city.
