A delegation from port authorities in Malaysia, led by Tan Sri Kong Cho Ha, chairman of Port Klang, paid a visit to Pingtan on May 26 to investigate its port development.

Kong, who is Malaysia’s former transport minister, learned about Pingtan’s infrastructure and showed strong interest in cooperating with Pingtan.

As one of the core areas of China’s Road and Belt Initiative, Pingtan has made a foresighted development plan. With infrastructure improving, more investors will come here, said Kong.
