The Lancheng resettlement community in Pingtan county has become the first community to use liquefied natural gas (LNG) on March 8, local media reported.

Some 30 households in the community were the first batch of beneficiaries of LNG, which is clean and boasts high efficiency, thanks to Pingtan Huarun Gas Co.

The gas company said it will attend to the needs of more than 170 households at the community in the coming week. It will also pay return visits to their clients for problem solving.

To guarantee stable LNG use in the community, the company invested some 1.2 million yuan on building a temporary mini LNG station near it. The station is capable of providing 450 cubic meters of LNG per hour, enough for up to 4,000 households.
