Four apartment buildings at a resettlement compound in Pingtan county, Fujian province, are expected to be ready for occupation by the end of October, Pingtan Times reported on Sept 19.

Workers are proceeding with laying pipelines and various networks in and out of the buildings at the D section of Liushui Resettlement Community.

“The construction started in April of 2012. As one of the constructors, I feel relieved watching the project near the end of completion, just like the feeling of seeing my own work coming to an end,” said Gan Dingjin, a project manager at the site.

The four buildings will altogether offer 865 housing units, including 275 for relocates, who had to move due to a bunch of municipal engineering projects, and another 590 for low-income earners or qualified professionals.

The villagers nearby were amazed by the erection of the apartment buildings, said Gan.
