As more and more young migrant workers come to Pingtan county, Fujian province, they also bring with them fresh ideas for entertainment, like iPad, reported the Pingtan Times on March 24.

At a construction site of Xiehe Hospital, there are as many as 500 workers. The construction company has built two more prefab housing units and another dining hall to meet the growing demand.

The majority of the migrant workers are young people born in the 1980s and 1990s, who have "different concepts" from their predecessors, according to Zhang Fengxiang, manager of the team.

An example of this is that many of them carry an iPad or laptops to the construction site, and play them in their leisure time.

"I don't have many entertainment programs when I finish work every day. So I just like to watch movies on my iPad. Most of the young people do so too," said Xiao Li, a Sichuan worker who is about 20 years old at the construction site.

To meet the increasing power use, due to more digital gadgets in their dorms, the construction team has decided to provide more patch panels, according to Zhang.
