Lenovo, Pingtan seek cooperation

Zhao Linghuan, executive vice president of China's Lenovo Group Limited, the world's biggest personal computer maker, led a group of executives from the company on a visit to the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone on Jan 7, with the aim of increasing their understanding of its development.

The team toured several Pingtan construction projects, including Haixia Ruyi real estate project, TPK Scientific Park, the Haixia High-speed Passenger Terminal and the Pingtan County Planning Museum.

The visitors discussed topics such as commercial real estate, traffic construction and financial investment, and said they were looking for cooperation programs with Pingtan so as to engage in its reform and development.

Lenovo is also the world's fourth-biggest smartphone maker, and makes tablet computers, workstations, servers, electronic storage devices, IT management software and smart televisions. In the second quarter of 2013, it became the world's largest personal computer vendor by unit sales.
