It is the first time for a construction company in the county to hold a wedding at a construction site.

There was no glamorous gown, expensive location or music - but the low-key wedding of two construction workers in Pingtan county, Fujian, on Nov 30, was full of joy and touching moments.

Their construction team is working on engineering projects for Pingtan Xiehe Hospital, and it was the first time for a construction company in the county to hold a wedding at a construction site.

Zhang Xiaohang, the groom, and Zhang Nannan, the Henan-born bride, married in a ceremony in the hospital cafeteria, and the workers danced and sang – and also toasted the couple.

The newlyweds had no time for a honeymoon due to the urgency of the hospital construction projects, but the groom said he appreciated the unforgettable ceremony.

"We hope employees can feel at home at the construction site," said Zhan Fengxiang, a manager for the projects.

Zhang Xiaohan, the groom, said he was grateful for the unforgettable ceremony, and he felt very warm inside especially in the winter.
