The Pingtan branch of TPK Holding (TPKP), the world's largest touch panel maker from Taiwan, has been enjoying favorable customs measures in Pingtan, an island county in East China's Fujian.

Since August 2, more than 80 containers in two batches have been transferred to TPKP's factories in Pingtan via Jiangyin Port in the province's Fuqing city. Fuzhou customs has made special orders to guarantee the clearance speed of the containers.

"In general it takes five to seven days for containers to pass customs inspection. But we conducted on-site clearance checkups once TPKP's stuff arrived at the port, which reduced the time for the second batch of containers to two days," said Lin Guanzhong, head of Fuqing customs.

In August and September, another 700 containers for TPKP are expected to arrive at Jiangyin Port in the province. They will all go through the green channel opened by Fuqing customs, he added.

Fuzhou customs is sparing no efforts in building an integrated customs regulatory system in Pingtan. Authorities are exploring more preferential customs policies and measures for Taiwan's products.
