Fishing boats have returned to the sea with nets to catch fish after the fishing off season officially ended in waters off Pingtan on Tuesday.

The moratorium for fishing with nets began on May 1 and lasted two and a half months until July 16.

Fishing with trawls, which is the most popular fishing method in Pingtan, will not resume until August 1.
