Singapore cruise ship rescued in waters off Pingtan

Pingtan's maritime authorities rescued a Singapore cruise ship after it ran into danger in waters off Pingtan island, Fujian province, as giant waves and gales of up to force 13 triggered by typhoon Soulik landed on Saturday morning, July 13.

The cruise ship lit its emergency lights after dropping anchor in waters two kilometers off the Aoqian passenger terminal, and the maritime authorities dispatched a rescue vessel to help the ship.
