A series of entertainment activities, which are part of the 2013 Pingtan beach culture festival, are open to visitors since the festival kicked off in mid-June.

The programs change almost every week and, this month, visitors have already been treated to various shows including flamenco and ballet dancing. In the coming weeks, Hawaiian dancing, and belly dancing, puppet shows, and magic shows are on the program.

In addition, the organizing committee said that some artists will dress themselves up as "moving statues" wandering along Haiyu Square.

Another attraction involves Bobing, a traditional mooncake gambling game in Fujian, and visitors at Longfengtou beach have been taking part in a giant version of the game since Monday, with specially designed dices measuring one meter in width, length and height.

Also, more snacks have been added to the Taiwan food court near the beach, and people will find a variety of Taiwan's agricultural products, articles of everyday use, as well as meat products at the entrance of the food court.
