1111 Job Bank, one of Taiwan's largest human resource companies, established a branch in Pingtan on June 18 in a bid to expand its talent pool into Pingtan, the closest county on the Chinese mainland to Taiwan.

Pingtan has basic conditions for cross-Straits cooperation and industrial connections and is in dire need of better head-hunting intermediary services to land more talent. 1111 Job Bank is exactly capable of fulfilling those needs, said Chen Dongrong, deputy director of the Pingtan administrative committee.

The construction of a "common homeland" cannot be achieved without the support of talent. 1111 Job Bank will play to its strengths in this field to contribute to Pingtan's development, said Wang Xiaoci, 1111 Job Bank's vice-president.

The Taipei-based 1111 Job Bank currently has two branches in Taichung and Kaohsiung in Taiwan, and another two in Shanghai and Suzhou on the Chinese mainland.
