The construction of the Jinjing Bay Business Operation Center in Beicuo town of the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Fujian province is underway, the Pingtan Times reported on Monday.

Construction of the business operation center – which started in April and is expected to be completed in two years – consists of several headquarters of various enterprises in Pingtan.

The project, with an investment of 2 billion yuan ($326 million), covers a construction area of 550,000 square meters, including an underground area of 120,000 square meters, which is the most difficult part to build due to the geographical condition.

An engineer working on the project said that workers have 24-hour shifts to speed up the pace of construction.
