An inspection group from the Beijing-based Sinochem Group visited Pingtan on May 10.

Senior leaders of Sinochem met with Pingtan's top officials and exchanged views on logistics, real estate, economy and trade.

Pingtan has achieved remarkable growth in the past three years and has become a channel for cross-Straits communication, said Gong Qinggai, director of Pingtan's administrative committee. It has also introduced many projects in the fields of high-technology, ecological economy and logistics to create a better platform for industrial connection between Fujian and Taiwan.

Gong hoped Sinochem could find a suitable investment project and engage in Pingtan's development.

Sinochem looks forward to partnering with Pingtan in sectors of logistics, trade and real estate and will definitely boost Pingtan's prosperity in the future, said Zhang Zhiyin, vice-president of Sinochem.

Founded in 1950, Sinochem is a State-owned conglomerate with businesses spanning energy, agriculture, chemical, real estate and financial services.
