A group from China Development Bank (CDB), led by the bank's head Zheng Zhijie, visited Pingtan on Friday morning.

CDB and Pingtan have maintained sound collaborative relations over the years. CDB has strongly supported construction of Pingtan's infrastructure facilities in fields of transportation, water conservancy, environmental protection and land development.

It mapped out a financing program with as much as 40 billion yuan ($6.5 billion) from 2012 to 2015 for Pingtan's development.

CDB will adopt more financing options – such as investment, loans, bonds and securities – and make more preferential policies to further assist Pingtan's economic growth, said Zheng.
