The Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, in Fujian province, signed deals, concluded some agreements with the Admiral Oversea Corp International and Fujian Wugang Group, on April 28, on bringing in more industrial projects, Pingtan Times has reported.
AOC International is an electronics company, with headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan, which is expected to develop LCD and LCDTV displays, TFT screens, and component production lines at its Pingtan base. It will also conduct research and handle sales and after-sale services.
The agreement calls for Wugang, a steel manufacturer, to establish a stainless steel subsidiary in Pingtan and introduce manufacturing equipment from Germany.
The head of administration at Pingtan, Gong Qinggai, told those gathered at the signing ceremony that this cooperation with AOC and Wugang is really significant for Pingtan's development.
Gong, who is also Party secretary of the pilot zone, added that he hopes the two enterprises will speed up work on the production line at Pingtan and asked everyone involved to work hard to build a better investment environment.
Representatives from the two companies said they will work closely with the Pingtan government to begin production soon and contribute to Pingtan's development.
