Peach blossoms at the foot of Nanzhai Mountain, Pingtan county in Fujian province, have attracted a great number of tourists and local residents who want to appreciate the beauty of spring, Pingtan Times reported on March 26.

White and pink blossoms have also brought bees and butterflies to the foot of the mountain, creating a scene that occurs only once a year. The peach tree field covers an area of 80,000 square meters and was planted in Meilou village in April 2011.

"The field is part of the construction project of the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone. Now, the blooming trees help us create a 'garden island'," said a local field worker.
