Qian Fangli, director of the China Service Outsourcing Research Center of the Ministry of Commerce, visited Pingtan, Fujian province, to review its outsourcing environment on Feb 26, Pingtan Times reported.
Pingtan was recently short-listed as one of China's “service outsourcing model cities”. The Industrial Development Guidance Catalogue for the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone recently launched by the National Development and Reform Commission listed the service outsourcing industry as a development priority for the island.
Qian Fangli noted that Pingtan should make good use of privileged policies from the central government. Personnel outsourcing and other forms of service cooperation with Taiwan will also boost Pingtan's development and opening-up.
The pilot zone hopes to drive its modern service industry by establishing more logistics centers and realizing further industry cooperation with Taiwan, according to Zhou Qingsong, deputy director of the pilot zone's administrative committee.
