The transportation and construction bureau of the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone released a list of low-income housing projects and construction plans for 2013 on Feb 18.
The pilot zone will construct 5,000 units of indemnificatory apartments for low-income residents, covering a total area of 640,000 square meters.
These include 100 low-rent apartments subsidized by the government, 489 public-rental units owned by the government, and 4,411 apartments to serve as compensation for demolished housing.
Housing projects involved in the plan cover the communities of Zhuyuan, Jinjing Bay and Lancheng. The largest project will create 1,605 apartments for peasant settlement in the Zhongyuan community.
