A delegation from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone on Jan 18 to review construction of the Fujian Green Industry Development Center co-launched by the UNIDO and Fujian province.

Accompanied by Pingtan officials, the guests visited construction sites of Xieli Science and Technology Park and Tanxi Avenue Utility Pipeline.

A delegation official said Pingtan's development left a deep impression on him.

"The island county is facing unprecedented chances as well as challenges. We hope the UNIDO's experience can help develop Pingtan into a world-class city."

The delegation hopes to introduce advanced development concepts and technique support for the development of green industries in Pingtan.
