HK and Taiwan entrepreneurs seek opportunities in Pingtan

Hong Zuhang, member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC, recently visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, reported Pingtan Times on Dec 18. Zone officials, Gong Qinggai and Du Yuansheng, received the guest along with other Hong Kong and Taiwan entrepreneurs.

Gong Qinggai, director of the zone's administrative committee, introduced Pingtan's opening-up and development at the meeting. He said under the principles of building a pro-environment, low-carbon, wise and open Pingtan, the pilot zone has attached importance to capital and technology introduction to boost its scientific development.

Gong welcomed Hong Kong and Taiwan enterprises to participate in Pingtan's opening-up and development. Pingtan wants to build itself into a cross-Straits common homeland and benefit cross-Straits citizens with a common market and industry.

Delegates expressed their confidence in Pingtan's future. As a national development strategy, Pingtan's development enjoys geographical superiority and policy advantages. Their representative enterprises will soon carry out suitable projects in Pingtan based on the zone's project plans.

Both sides also exchanged opinions on business and medical projects at the meeting.
